About Thane Bolger
In the mid eighties I was in my twenties, I was working for the Four Seasons Hotel Group in Seattle and came up to the Islands one weekend for a mini-vacation. I was awestruck by the beauty of the Islands and the friendliness of the locals that I met. Three months later I was living here and managing the Food and Beverage department at Roche Harbor Resort. After two years of that I was ready for a change and was offered a job with Coldwell Banker.
I was hesitant at first because I did not see myself as the real estate type but I realized that it was a great opportunity and if I was successful, would allow me the means and ways to stay on the Island. Well, it has been almost twenty years now and I am grateful for that simple twist of fate.
My wife Angela and I are raising two boys, Taylor (13) and Christo (10). We're all pretty active in the community and love the options available for recreation and learning. We have all participated in sailing, golf, tennis, kayaking, astronomy , art, music, theatre lessons. We've been taught by some really competent instructors and it seems to me that the Island is full of just so much talent. We've been able to take classes on the flora and fauna, geology and marine life of the Islands and there is still so much to learn. I have provided some useful links to help you investigate what interests you. The more you learn about the San Juans the more you'll appreciate them. Flying and fishing are on the agenda this year and maybe fly fishing too. Skiing and snowboarding at Whistler and Mt Baker and maybe some trap shooting on Orcas.
I have had the privilege of working with some outstanding buyers and sellers over the years and have been well schooled in the art of real estate. I have developed a network of excellent contacts in the finance, construction and design disciplines and I am able to guide you through the local process of permitting and regulations. My team at Coldwell Banker consists of a web site specialist, graphics person, assistants, and an advertising specialist. I have someone who loves to research the details and fine points.
We have advisors for dock construction and repair, septic systems, water systems (including reverse osmosis) and drainage. I can introduce you to the best legal advisors, accountants, cleaning staff, landscapers, handymen, nurses, fitness trainers, doctors...
